He played his hole career at Iran's Premier Football League giants Esteghlal FC.

[edit] International career

Marfavi debuted for the Iranian national team against Kuwait on February 27, 1987. He scored 11 goals in 31 appearances for Iran.

He was Esteghlal FC's assistant coach from 2003 till 2006 where he replaced Amir Ghalenoei, Ghalenoei went on to be Iranian national team coach.
