Sam R. Balcomb is a filmmaker living in Los Angeles, California.

He is best known for being the writer and director of the fantasy film project Ancanar.

A life-long artist, Sam early-on developed an amazing talent for illustration, which has proven invaluable for the ability to storyboard his own projects. He is a huge fan of the writings of J. R. R. Tolkien. 1

He made his first fantasy movie when he was twelve years old, with cardboard armour and clay dragons. He is currently thrilled to be working with greater production values. Sam has a comprehensive background in art, editing, graphic design, and visual effects - all of which have helped him in the long journey to bring Ancanar to the screen. 2
