Sam Mackinnon (born August 25, 1976 in Victoria) is a professional Australian basketball player currently playing for NBL team Brisbane Bullets. He is also a current member of the Australian Basketball team.

Mackinnon made his NBL debut in 1994 for the now defunct South East Melbourne Magic and was awarded as NBL Rookie of the Year that season. He won the NBL Championship in 1996 and remained at the club before its merger in 1998. Mackinnon left for the Townsville Crocodiles for the start of the 1998/99 season before moving to the West Sydney Razorbacks three seasons later. He was also captain of the Razorbacks in the 2004/05 season.

Mackinnon has also tasted success at International level, playing as a member of the Australian squad at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and 2000 Sydney Olympics. More recently, he won a gold medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
