Sam Lloyd (actor)

Sam Lloyd is an American actor, perhaps best known for his portrayal of beaten down lawyer Ted Buckland on the Bill Lawrence sitcom Scrubs.

He has appeared on Seinfeld, The West Wing as a conspiracy theorist adamant about his belief that the White House has information about extra-terrestrial activity, and The Drew Carey Show.

He recently appeared on Desperate Housewives as an injured psychiatrist who falls victim to a demented suitor of Bree's. Lloyd's character contained a surprising amount of compassion for the perpetrator, despite being on a hospital bed with a broken leg.

Lloyd is the nephew of Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd.

• Both Sam Lloyd and his uncle, Christopher Lloyd, have guested on Malcolm in the Middle, Sam as a housing lawyer and Christopher as Hal's father.

• Sam Lloyd is also a singer with the a cappella group The Blanks and Beatles tribute group "The Butties" [1], who have made many appearances in Scrubs.
