[edit] Tupac
I did a major edit of the Tupac article, if that's what you're talking about. RickK 18:04, Jul 13, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Michael Jordan Pic
I am not an expert in this, but i believe that a reasonable priced subscription from a wire service would give us only the right to show the image on our page. Yet Wikipedia wants public domain or GNU free documentation licensed images. To buy these PD or GFDL rights from a wire service would be a whole lot more expensive. I am guessing this may be from $100 upward per image. I'd rather have more servers. About Michael Jordan: Maybe we can show a book title (does he have a biography?), or maybe a fan has a private photo of him. Keep looking-- Chris 73 | Talk 23:44, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Links within Pages
I want to put a link from the German Page de:Commodore Produktübersicht to the Product line section of the Commodore International page. I tried Commodore International#Product line, but that didn't work. I tried Commodore_International#Product_line, but that didn't work either . Salasks 03:36, 15 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Interwiki links to sections do not work, except with external link style. Hence, the link has to be in the page, instead of in the edge (done). The HTML has the code %23 for #, which does not work.--Patrick 11:02, 15 Jul 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Hoover
I put a link to your HooTow image on Hoover Institution. jengod 23:02, Jul 21, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Associated Press
Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. We can't use wire service photos because they're copyrighted. RickK 19:17, Jul 29, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Hordaland picture
Does anyone know about the picture on Hordaland? One picture that's supposed to be there isn't, and the other isn't on Wikipedia so it doesn't show up. I'd upload it and add it, but I'm not sure if it's fair use. Salasks 00:33, Aug 2, 2004 (UTC)
- The first one doesn't show up because it doesn't exist. Are you sure you have the name right? The second doesn't show up because we don't allow external images on en. It's too open to abuse and plain old breakage. -- Cyrius|✎ 08:10, 8 Aug 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Bot Request
I moved your bot request to Wikipedia:Bot requests. Kevin Rector 14:30, Aug 19, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Novice garden.jpg
I remember this image from a reference desk question a few weeks back. Are you releasing the image under the GFDL? Public Domain? Copyright© you and used under fair use provisions? --Ardonik.talk() 04:28, Sep 8, 2004 (UTC)
- GFDL or public domain, whichever's bigger Salasks 16:24, Sep 8, 2004 (UTC)
- Public domain's bigger (no restrictions whatsoever). I'll slap PD on the image page. Thanks much! --Ardonik.talk() 20:20, Sep 8, 2004 (UTC)
- Do you have a larger version of this image? If so, could you upload it? Thanks, Andrew pmk | Talk 01:47, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- Public domain's bigger (no restrictions whatsoever). I'll slap PD on the image page. Thanks much! --Ardonik.talk() 20:20, Sep 8, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)
[edit] paniq on VfD
There is an interesting discussion over on VfD for the bio-article for German demoscene musician and artist paniq. I was hoping you could enter a comment or vote after reading through and reviewing the article. -R
- Tough call and I don't know enough about the scene. After reading through the comments and the article, I still have to abstain. Salasks 15:32, Feb 10, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Bürgerliches Trauerspiel
Hi, I just translated Bürgerliches Trauerspiel and moved it to Bourgeois tragedy. There is still a lot of work to do on the article, though.--Thomas Ruefner 15:41, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC)
[edit] pywikipediabot framework
Within the pywikipediabot framework, there is an interwiki linker bot. It should fit exactly your needs for your bot request. Or you can check Wikipedia:Bots for any current bots running the interwiki bot. -- AllyUnion (talk) 04:02, 24 Feb 2005 (UTC)
[edit] User Pennsylvania
I was clearing out Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Pennsylvania. I added this template to your page. Feel free to remove it, and thanks for understanding. --evrik 04:18, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
