Talk:Salt Lake City School District
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I personally don't think we ought to make high school pages. I had to move this page because there are numerous East Highs in the country.
Because it's already made I intend to clean up this article by incorporating reasons it's notable. The school's gay/straight alliance is interesting because administrators banned all non-acedemic clubs for a time just to get rid of it. Also, East is among the oldest schools in Utah and undoubtably has many notable alumni.
I'm addressing this toward anyone considiering a VfD listing. Cool Hand Luke 06:47, 25 Sep 2004 (UTC)
[edit] a note on West High
I just made some major revisions to the West High section based on my experience as a student there from 99 til 03. I wasn't sure how to sign the history page, so I'm putting this here instead. Peace. --Inappropriatecontent 15:10, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] high school articles are worth keeping
IMHO only, but I would think that high school articles are worth keeping:
- Certainly a high school can have a few points of information that are of use to someone out there
- It could be a great way to bring in young wikipaedians
- why not? Isn't expansion of information what this place is all about?

I move the information on this page to: Notable schools of Salt Lake City. Then we can add whatever schools we desire, and not have a million articles... [[User:JonMoore|JON, Conqueror of Men - (Talk to Me, Baby!)]] 21:28, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)
[edit] School closures
Rosslyn Heights and Lowell elementary schools closed. I kept them in the list but added notes that they have closed down. I can't believe they closed Rosslyn Heights...it was a very good school...stupid Salt Lake School District...okay, I'm done ranting now...
