Salmā bint Sakhar (Arabic: سلمى بنت صخر‎) was the mother of Abū Bakr, the first Caliph. Salmā was the daughter of Sakhar (Arabic: صخر‎) and the wife of ˤUthmān ibn-Amīr (later known as Abū Qahafa).

Sunnis honour her as Ummu l-Khayr "Mother of Goodness" (Arabic: أم الخير‎), referring to Abū Bakr, whom muslims honour as and one of the The Ten Promised Paradise among Muhammad's early companions, the Sahāba.
