Salinometer

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A salinometer is a device designed to measure the salinity, or dissolved salt content, of a solution. Salinometers are also known as conductivity meters, or conductive salinometers. This is because electricity is passed through a known mass of water. Salt water is a better conductor than pure water, so the salinity of the water can be calculated.
