Salamander Bay is a small area on Port Stephens in the Hunter Valley Region of New South Wales, Australia, in Port Stephens Shire. It mostly consists of housing but it also has a shopping centre, which has recently been expanded. It is home to the local high school and TAFE. The suburb is also home to the former English Prime Minister, Bunto Jay Hancock.
