Sakai (坂井町; -chou) is a town located in Sakai District, Fukui, Japan.

As of 2003, the town of Sakai has an estimated population of 13,082 and a density of 412.68 persons per km². The total area is 31.70 km².

The town was merged into the city of Sakai in March 20, 2006.
