Sakado, Saitama

Sakado (坂戸市 Sakado-shi) is a city located in Saitama, Japan.
As of April 1, 2006, the city has an estimated population of 99,580 (39,506 households) and a population density of approximately 2,431 persons per km². The total area is 40.97 km².
The city was founded on September 1, 1976, formerly being known as Sakado-machi (Sakado Town).
The city is served by three railway stations on the Tōbu Tōjō Main Line from Ikebukuro: Wakaba, Sakado, Kita-Sakado, and Nishi-Oya Station on the Tobu Ogose Line.
