Nadiadwala started as an AC Technician and than later worked as spot boy and graduated to become production assistant in his uncle's production house before establishing his own production company- Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The production company have churned out many hits including Judwaa, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. His forthcoming film is Jaan-E-Mann which stars Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta all of whom he has worked with before. The film released in October 2006.

Firoz Nadiadwala is his cousin who is also a successful director and producer. He secretly married Bollywood actress Divya Bharti on 20 May 1992. Their marriage was tragically short lived when she fell to her death from her apartment building on 5 April 1993. The circumstances surrounding her death was suspicious but nothing was proved. Her death remains a mystery to this day. It is alleged that her death was not a suicide but a homicide. He has since remarried to Wardha Khan, a former journalist. [1]. They have a son together. [2]
He dedicates all his films to Divya's memory by showing a brief picture of her before the film's credits roll.
