Saint Hilary Doe-Tamakloe, aka Saintdoe, was born on the 24th November in the early part of the 1980’s in Sunyani, in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana, West Africa.

After spending over a decade with his paternal grandmother at Nsawam in the Eastern Region of Ghana where he had his basic education, he moved to join his father in Kumasi, where he enrolled in the Junior Secondary School of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

After KNUST-JSS, he got admitted to Prempeh College where he pursued his interest in Business studies, specializing in Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting and Business Management. After Prempeh College, he worked as an Accounts Clerk at WilliamPitt Construction Company Limited, a private construction company in the City of Accra, the capital of Ghana before enrolling at the University of Ghana to read Psychology, Sociology, Political Science and Information Studies. On completing his first year at the University, he was nominated for the award of the “Club 500 student of the Year” Scholarship Award. In his second year, he got admitted to the University of Ghana Business School(uGBS), where he further pursued his interests in Business. Immediately after enrolling in the business school, Saintdoe started writing the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants(ACCA's) professional examinations, an interest he later abandoned due to the financial constraints. Right about the same time when he entered the UGBS, he got selected as a volunteer at the University’s radio station, Radio Univers 105.7FM, where he trained as a broadcast Journalist and Disk Jockey. At Radio Univers, he hosted the station’s weekend showbiz program, Weekend Love, which was very popular among students on campus, and Youth Forum, a weekly Youth talk program on issues of essence to the youth of this emerging West African Country. He also hosted The Comfort zone, which was also a youth talk program on relationships and sexual life. In his hall of residence at the University, he was elected as the Chairman of the Miss Legon 2003 Pageant Committee, where he led a committee of some 30 students to plan the Hall’s Miss Legon pageant, which served as the grand event that climaxed the celebration of the Hall’s Week. As chairman of the Miss Legon 2003 committee, Saintdoe and his team broke the string of losses which the hall had incurred over he previous four editions of the pageant. From a 4million cedi loss in the immediate pageant, Legon Hall realized a profit of some 24million cedis and recorded a whooping 76million cedis in gate proceeds. Whilst at the UGBS, Saintdoe worked with the Ghana Stock Exchange on two consecutive occassions during inter semester breaks, where he served as a Research and Marketing Intern. It was this early stint with Ghana's financial market that helped develop his interest in finance in general and Ghana's emerging Financial market in particular. In his third year at the business school, Saintdoe founded the Investment Advocacy Forum (IAF), a youth advocacy group focused on educating young people on the essence of investing and the nuances of personal finance management. The IAF also had as its goal, introducing students to the idea of forming investment clubs.

The group organized a series of outreach programs and seminars with the Foundation for Future Leaders International (FFLI), the University Of Ghana Business Schools’ Junior Common Room and some Investment Clubs. He is currenly, a member of the steering committee for the formation of the Ghana Investor's League(GIL) which would be the national umbrella body for investment clubs in Ghana and would also serve as the official mouthpiece of retail investors in Ghana's growing financial market.

After graduating from the University of Ghana with a Bsc. (Hons) degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance Option, Saintdoe decided to briefly pursue his interest in Broadcasting with CITI 97.3FM,a private radio staion, where he was in charge of the station’s business programming as well as a member of the Stations strategy development and implementation caucus. He finally undertook his National Service at CITI FM, before leaving to join Origin8 Saatchi&Saatchi, an Integrated Marketing Communications Company as an Account Executive, where he specializes in Brand Consultancy and Brand Strategy Development.
