SaintCahier is a Ph.D. student on computer science at the Université de Cergy-Pontoise, France. His ongoing thesis is on content-based image retrieval for digitized artworks.

He holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. degrees on computer science by the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Belo Horizonte, Brazil). His M.Sc. research was on the use of multimedia information systems for the preservation and access of historic document collections.
