Saint Quadratus

Quadratus is a martyr and saint in the Eastern Orthodox Church well known for his defense of the Faith and tireless opposition to idolatry in the Roman Empire. During the reign of Decius and Valerian, he endured imprisonment and severe torture, before finally being beheaded ca. 255. Numerous miracles are attributed to him. His life is commemorated on March 10.

Quadratus was a martyred bishop in Anatolia. He was arrested and put to death with forty two other martyrs, including Emmanuel and Theodosius, during the persecution of the Church under Emperor Diocletian in 304. His feastday is March 26.
