Saint John's Preparatory School (St. John's Prep) is a private, Roman Catholic, co-educational college-preparatory high school (grades 9-12) located in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens in New York City. The school is affiliated with St. John's University in New York. It is a member of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA). Current enrollment is 1327 students[1].

Saint John's Preparatory School was founded by Vincentian priests in 1870 in the Bushwick-Williamsburg area of Brooklyn. In 1880, the preparatory school was officially made distinct from the college. St. John's Prep moved to its present location in Queens in 1961 and changed its name to Mater Christi Diocesan High School. The name was changed back to Saint John's Preparatory School in 1981.

The school's motto, taken from John 10:10, is "That they may have life more abundantly."
