Saint Benedict Catholic School

Saint Benedict Catholic School is a Catholic school on the outskirts of Derby in the village of Darley Abbey, it is named after the saint of the same name.

The school is split into two main blocks - north block and south block. North block is the older block and centres around a garden while south block is more modern and houses the main block, a music block, a modern languages block, several temporarily permanent buildings and the library block.

North block contains 24 classrooms numbered from 1 to 22 with two additional classrooms 1A and 22B being added later on. The entire RE and humanities departments are based in North Block as with four science labs, a computer suite, a food technology room, and a chapel.

South block is much bigger and more modern than north block.

The main block contains all the maths, english, and creative arts rooms as well as a couple of science labs and the dinner hall.

[edit] Enhanced Resource Base

The Enhanced Resource Base, often abbreviated to The ERB is a learning facility for the disabled.

The Technology block contains four technology rooms, one of which is used for graphics.

[edit] Library Block

The library block houses the ibrary, the sixth form common room, two computer suites, three science labs and three autonomous classrooms.
