Saint-Bernard is a village in the French département of Ain, located on the banks of the Saône river approximately 20 km north of Lyon. It has a small castle which overlooks the river and the village church, with a total population of circa 1300 people.
The artist Maurice Utrillo is reported as having lived in the castle, and as having completed a number of his works there. He typically painted things he saw in his environment.
