Memories return! Usagi and Mamoru's past is the 35th episode of Sailor Moon.

Inside the Star Light Tower, the Moon Princess is holding Tuxedo Kamen who is fading in and out of consciousness. Zoisite tries to attack them, but with swift use of her Moon Stick, the Moon Princess repels him. Suddenly, both she and Tuxedo Kamen remember that in the past, she lived on the Moon and he was from Earth and the two shared a passionate love, but were separated during a war. With all this emotion, the Moon Princess faints and turns back into Sailor Moon. The other girls hold her up as Kunzite appears and takes Zoisite and Tuxedo Kamen away. In Queen Beryl’s throne room, Zoisite is reprimanded for trying to kill Tuxedo Kamen against orders and is punished fatally. Zoisite, having loved Kunzite all his life, asks that Kunzite kill him beautifully in memory of their relationship. Back in the tower, Luna and Artemis tell the Sailor Senshi that ten centuries ago, they were all part of the moon kingdom known as the Silver Millennium, which Queen Serenity ruled and protected the nearby planets. Sailor Moon was Princess Serenity, the queen’s daughter and Mamoru was Prince Endymion of Earth. They were all part of the royal court. Sailor Moon suddenly decides she doesn’t want to fight anymore, but Sailor Mars sets her straight and they decide to find the exit. Suddenly they are joined by Kunzite and despite a long battle, the girls can’t fight back. Suddenly, Sailor Moon uses her Moon Stick along with the Mystical Silver Crystal and repels him. The tower is destroyed and everyone is freed. Sailor Moon vows to rescue Tuxedo Kamen.
