Despite all her efforts, Usagi cannot get Naru to forget Nephrite. She has fallen in love with him. Luna and the others know that they have to keep an extra close eye on her in case he tries anything. Sure enough, he does. Failing to appear before an angry Queen Beryl, Nephrite wonders why the black crystal reacts to Naru and thinks she might actually possess the silver crystal inside her body. Meanwhile, Zoisite, with Queen Beryl’s permission, sends three youma to take care of Nephrite. One night, while she sleeps, Nephrite comes to Naru’s window and tells her the whole truth but claims that he wants to switch sides and help Sailor Moon. When Naru tells him she doesn’t know who she is, he pretends to leave. She calls Usagi and asks for advice, and Nephrite realizes there may be something about Usagi. Usagi and Luna come running towards Naru’s house realizing she’s in trouble but Nephrite causes the road to warp and she transforms into Sailor Moon right before his eyes. He attempts to destroy her but Tuxedo Kamen prevents it. In the meantime, Naru has been kidnapped by the three youma sent by Zoisite but Nephrite rescues her and they flee to a park. There, they are attacked and Nephrite is badly injured. Zoisite steals the black crystal and the youma are about to kill the two when Sailor Moon and the others appear and destroy the monsters. Nephrite apologizes to Naru, tells Sailor Moon that her identity remains a secret and dies.
