[edit] Plot summary

After weighing herself, Usagi finds out she has gained weight. At school, Umino shows Usagi some pictures of their teacher, Haruna Sakurada, who has lost a lot of weight at a new fitness center, and Usagi and her friends decide to join the health spa in order to lose weight. As usual, Jadeite is using a scheme in order to gather human energy. While Usagi drives herself to exhaustion exercising, her friends are led by the instructor into pods that allegedly help you lose weight. In reality, they suck out their energy. After the workout, Usagi stumbles upon Motoki and faints in his arms. He aids her back to consciousness and tells her not to diet. Usagi becomes very happy and instantly goes on an eating binge. She runs into that jerk, who teases her about her eating habits. Usagi throws a dumpling at him, and afterwards feels guilty about her binge, returning to the fitness center. While there, Luna, who is beginning to suspect that the Dark Kingdom is involved, follows Usagi’s teacher to the pods and sees what they’re really used for. Luna alerts Sailor Moon. Jadeite uses mind-controlled bodybuilders to fight Sailor Moon, and she tries to run away, but Luna inspires Usagi to fight by saying that Usagi might lose some weight. Jadeite is beaten back, and some of the energy is restored to its proper owners. Queen Beryl congratulates Jadeite on the large amount of energy he collected. Usagi bathes at home, and then weighs herself. Shingo had tampered with the scales, and Usagi breaks down into tears at her weight.

In the original, Jadeite mentioned that Haruna would die soon. This was omitted from the dub. Also, in a bathing scene, the level of the water is raised.

An educational segment called "Sailor Says" is added at the end. In this episode, Sailor Moon talks about how to lose weight safely, because "It could save your life! And please remember, real beauty really does come from inside."[1]
