[edit] Image Tagging Image:Assonet, Mass.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Assonet, Mass.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Tawker 05:29, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, you're not quite done with this image - in order for us to keep it you have to specify a free license such as GFDL or CC, or put it in the public domain. Stan 14:32, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

- Well, I pretty much am done with it. (I don't mean that to be read with a rude tone, it's just a plain statement.)
- I have no interest in my personal photography being used outside of Wikipedia without my express permission. At the time I uploaded it, I looked for a tag that could express that, and I couldn't find one, so I felt comfortable going ahead with uploading it anyways. If "okay for Wikipedia, not okay for others" is in fact against canon law (again, I looked for this and couldn't find it), then it should be nominated for deletion, and I will gladly vote for it. [edit] thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your vote to keep, here

[edit] {{MAGovernors}}
Why did you shrink {{MAGovernors}} to a size that was 1) too small to read; and 2) not standard with other templates? JackCox has created an ugly revert war with me (see the template's history) insisting that the small size looked nicer. —Markles 04:24, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with JackCox. I can read the smaller version fine, and I think it looks better. Sahasrahla 05:51, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- Sigh. OK. We'll use a smaller font.
- Can I still apply the template, {{SuccessorSeries}}? Look at Elbridge Gerry- I like how the list of VPs looks with commas, and the font size as it is. But I'm willing to make the font smaller. Using {{SuccessorSeries}} allows us to keep a uniform look. For example, Franklin Roosevelt has several boxes, and they ought to look uniform. —Markles 12:41, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not here to give permission for things. I just happened to agree with him on that issue. Sahasrahla 02:57, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I've changed it now with the smaller font. I believe that the font size was his issue. How does it look now?—Markles 03:42, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- It's fine. Sahasrahla 00:20, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jack Cox
I understand that a revert war is ridiculous, and should stop. Please look at the edit history of this and other simlar templates. Jack Cox has been:
- using no Edit summaries;
- or the only edit summary he gives is rude, cursing, swearing, ad hominum, name-calling;
- reverting entire edits when he doesn't like one part of them;
- ignoring my repeated attempts to ask him to explain himself.
It amounts to his treating these templates as if he owns them, not like they are GFDL.
- (For exmaple, he says, "I hate the Commas, thats my problem do you not get it?" Not, the commas are a problem because….)
What did I do wrong? How could I have done anything differently or better? I did everything I could to resolve this, including asking for your (Sahasrahla's) help & advice, while Jack Cox has simply been abusive. Look at what he wrote in on Template talk:MAGovernors at 22:28, 26 April 2006 (UTC). —Markles 07:02, 27 April 2006 (UTC) —Markles 07:02, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

- I'm not becoming a part of this argument. The smaller font has been agreed upon, now it's just a question of the commas. The issue is between you and Jack Cox. Sahasrahla 18:31, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hello:
Hi I'm a new Wikipedian from Natick, Mass... just popped in to say hello to my Wiki neighbor:"
This user is a citizen of the United States of America. |
This user is from Massachusetts. |
- Hi I Am Marc:
I was recently married to my lovely wife; We have lived together for several years already...
- We love cats (3 currently own us)... Jeffy(15), Echo(6) & Gizmo(3). All sleep with us in the big bed and no room to move an inch.
- I was Disabled in a 1993 (Coma)/ and am very slowly recovering. It's tough going out sometimes, though with friends I still do. I have a few supportive friends.
- I am an "Unenrolled voter." Democrat/ Republicans, I don't care, whoever serves makes my life better in the long run I vote for!
- Avid reader. Has collection of many hundreds of rare books. Especially Science Fiction and Fantasy.
- Avid Music collector (2,500 albums)...mostly bootlegs...mostly rare bootlegs...Stones, Kinks, Clapton, Beatles. and solos!
I am what I am I'm strongly opinionated about disabled peoples' rights and jobs for American citizens who have trouble finding minimum wage jobs in my state today and support Universal health care, I would be dead if I did not have it. I am an idiot about Internet social skills. I hope that the Immigration Reform bill will protect disabled citizens who wish to work like myself first before considering allowing new people to come here. I was searching for an internet forum to be my outlet to express my needs, but found that Wikipedia is not best suited for that. I'm brushing up on Wikipedia's rules of conduct, and slowly starting to begin contributing again.
Current book and CD I own hundreds of rare books
- Current Book Jack Whyte: "Uther"
- Current CD Faves:
- Warren Zevon... "Life'll Kill Ya"
- Howlin' Wolf: "Greatest Hits"
- Latest Flick: "Charles II: The Last King"

[edit] The Price Is Right move talk
Please give your reasons on the Talk:The Price Is Right page as why you oppose the move. Arguments have been given on both sides. Thank you. Wrath of Roth 16:55, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- No thanks. I gave my vote. Sahasrahla 17:01, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

- Why not. Should we look into if you are a sockpuppet that we were warned about? Please give your reasons! Wrath of Roth 17:39, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

- Well, that's all well and good, but if you don't explain the vote, then it doesn't really accomplish anything for either side. -TPIRFanSteve 01:43, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

- I don't want to accomplish anything. Why is this so hard for you people to understand? I voted. Stop badgering me. Sahasrahla 02:36, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

- It's hard for us to understand because just voting doesn't accomplish anything. Decisions on Wikipedia are made by considering the arguments presented and determining which ones are the strongest, not by counting votes...so by not explaning yours, you've essentially done nothing. -TPIRFanSteve 02:42, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] South Coast
Thanks for clearing up the issue of NPOV/disputed fact on South Coast (Massachusetts). I grew up in the area defined there, and I'd never heard of it refered as such personally. I'll take a look at it again in the near future and see if I can find any sources for that name, if not it may be going up for deletion. Lordwow 04:34, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Massachusetts highways
Please see the section of WP:USSH about linking. Thank you. --NE2 21:54, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Where are people told "not to cause redirects"? Read Wikipedia:Redirect#Don't fix links to redirects that aren't broken. --NE2 22:15, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
