Sacred Heart Academy (Hamden, Connecticut)

Sacred Heart Academy is a young women's preparatory high school located in Hamden, Connecticut. It is private and Catholic. It is run by the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, an order of religious sisters founded in Italy by Mother Clelia Merloni.
In recent years, it has been known to some as a bastion of controversy. Some widely publicized events include an allegation of sexual abuse [1] and an infamous case of sports violence concerning an alleged assault at a girls softball game, in which a parent attacked a coach with a bat.
