Sacramento High School

Sacramento High School is the second oldest school west of the Mississippi. Established in 1856, the school's colors are purple and white and its mascot is a dragon.

- Leland Glass, defensive back and wide receiver standout in high school, played at University of Oregon, and two seasons with the Green Bay Packers[1]
- Lou Harris, rushed for 1,279 yards at USC and Canadian Football League with the British Columbia Lions[2]
- Kevin Johnson, former NBA guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Phoenix Suns
- Alva Liles, former NFL guard
