Sachin (princely state)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sachin was a princely state in India during the British Raj, located in the modern state of Gujarat, in the Surat District.
The present-day industrial township of Sachin is located about 20 km south of the city of Surat, and is a mainline railway station on the Mumbai-Vadodara trunk route belonging to the Western Railway (India). The ruins of the fort of Sachin are evident while passing through the state highway that links Surat and Navsari which bisects the town.
