Sabir Yunusov

Sabir Yunusovich Yunusov (Russian: Сабир Юнусович Юнусов) (March 18, 1909 in TashkentNovember 29, 1995 in Tashkent) was a Soviet chemist, known for his research in alkaloid chemistry. He won the D.I. Mendeleev Gold Medal for this work (1971).

Since 1956 he was the head of the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR (of Uzbekistan since 1991) Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances.
