Sabine Meyer (born March 30, 1959, in Crailsheim, Germany) is a German classical clarinetist.

Meyer began playing the clarinet at an early age. Her first teacher was her father, also a clarinetist. She studied with Hans Deinzer at the Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater Hannover along with her brother, clarinetist Wolfgang Meyer, and now-husband, clarinetist Rainer Wehle, who played later in the Munich Philharmonic. After much musical education, she played with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic, where she caused an uproar as the first ever female member, having won a blind audition twice. After one year, she became a full-time solo clarinetist. She has played with many of the world's leading orchestras and musicians at hundreds of places around the world. She plays both clarinet concertos and chamber music and plays all styles of classical music, though she is probably best known for her Mozart performances, of which she has over 200 to her record. By the 1990s she had become one of the most notable solo clarinetists, and has released many recordings. She records exclusively with the EMI label. She can often be heard on classical radio stations. She and her husband share a professorship at the Musikhochschule Luebeck, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and live in Luebeck. Also she is a member of the Trio di Clarone along with her brother and husband who have recorded CDs for the EMI label. She will play at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall, England on the 5th December 2006 and here with the BBC Philharmonic orchestra she shall perform the Mozart once more.
