Sabine Hérold

Sabine Hérold (born 8th of July 1981 in Reims) is a French liberal activist and main spokeswoman of Alternative libérale, a French liberal party.

Her parents are both teachers. She got a bachelor's degree in public administration from the Institut d'études politiques de Paris and a master's degree in business of HEC Paris. She has been for 4 years the editor and spokeswoman of Liberté Chérie, beloved freddom, a French liberal/libertarian think tank. Sabine Hérold became known in 2003 when she led the 80,000 people demonstration advocating reforms in France and demanding a responsible attitude from trade unions.

She has often admired the policy implemented by the British Prime Margaret Thatcher and she is commonly called "Mademoiselle Thatcher" by newspapers[1][2].

She distanced herself from right wings liberals and cofounded Alternative libérale with Édouard Fillias that she married in september 2006. She will be candidate for the parliamentary elections in 2007 in Paris against Françoise de Panafieu[1].
