Sabas Pretelt de la Vega was the Colombian minister of the Interior and Justice between November 2003 and August 2006. He was born in Cartagena in 1946. He is an economist by training and has been a professor at several Colombian universities. Prior to being a member of Alvaro Uribe's cabinet, Sabas Pretelt was the president of Fenalco, the Colombian Association of Commerce.
