Saúl Hernández

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Saúl Alfonso Hernández Estrada (born January 15, 1964), is the former lead singer and guitarist of Caifanes, a famous Mexican rock en español group formed in 1987.

After Caifanes' breakup, Saul Hernandez formed a new band in late 1995, called Jaguares alongside with former Caifanes drummer Alfonso André; and two long time friends Federico Fong on the Bass guitar and Jose Manuel Aguilera on the lead guitar. Since then, Jaguares has consolidated into one of Spanish Rock's premier bands in both critical and commercial success.

Saúl Hernández's future albums clearly show what direction Caifanes would have taken without Alejandro Marcovich, lead guitarist of the former band. Despite only four albums in eight years, Caifanes will be forever associated with the Rock en español revival of the late eighties and its golden era (1987-1995).
