[edit] Enemies
Would it make more sense to list as enemies people such as the Malfoys and Barty Crouch Sr., who actually oppress house elves, instead of Ron and Harry? While Ron and Harry might oppose SPEW, they're not the people who SPEW is working against. And with HBP, Harry seems more receptive to the idea of house-elf rights. --Mairi 21:10, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] S.P.E.W.
The correct title of this article has periods after each letter. It's not "SPEW," or "spew," as Hermione makes clear in GoF. --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 15:04, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Requested move
S.P.E.W → S.P.E.W. – The page was just moved from SPEW to S.P.E.W, as it is now, for the rationale that that spelling is how it is presented in the British editions of the book. While I don't own the British editions, it makes no sense, even if you don't know the books, that the acronym, which stands for the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare, should be lacking in a period at the end of the W. S.P.E.W. is how it appears in my books. However, the page S.P.E.W. is currently a redirect to S.P.E.W (with no period at the end). --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 02:22, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
As the page is now occupied at S.P.E.W., there's no further need to vote, thanks.
