S. William Green

Sedgwick William Green (October 16, 1929 - October 14, 2002) was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from New York.
Green was born in New York City. He graduated from Harvard University in 1950 and Harvard Law School in 1953. From 1953 until 1955 he served in the United States Army. He was a member of the New York State Assembly from 1965 until 1968. He was elected to Congress in a special election in 1978 to replace Ed Koch and served from February 14, 1978 until January 3, 1993.
