Hello Jordan and welcome. I was new here just a few months ago. It is certainly intimidating. Help where you can, try to be polite, and develop a thick skin! Thanks for your comments on Omniscience Paradox, I have tried to address them. Don't take anything Lacatosias says too hard, he works hard on the philosophy stuff, and it frequently frustrated by it. Good luck. Bmorton3 16:10, 5 September 2006 (UTC) -Whoops sorry I assumed you were new because you had an empty discussion page. Bmorton3 20:47, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Jordan,

I really don't care for it when someone goes into a page I have created from scratch and devoted a lot of effort to and does things to it that don't make sense to me -- especially when the marauder apparently has no competence regarding the subject of the page and does not consult with me. You have done this to BMW R1200RT more than once, and even challenged me for photographs that I have taken -- and I took every single photograph on that page. What evidence do you have that I have not taken any of the photos on this page? What makes you think your sense of graphic design is better than mine? What gives you the right to harrass me when I have done absolutely nothing to you? Personally, I never see fit to mess around with someone else's Wiki work. I am not so arrogant. I have contributed to many pages, yes, but never once have I stepped on anyone's writing or photos. Moreover, I will not ever do so unless I first consult with the author or photographer.

[edit] Univ. of Chicago

Jordan - I did see your message on the talk page, and you certainly make a good point. The problem is that "top 14" does (for whatever reason) seem to have meaning within some part of the legal community. In other words, I've heard colleagues say "oh, that's a top 14 school" - and have used the term myself. (Why not top 15? I have no idea - it's never made any sense to me either, but everyone seems to use top 14.)

But I'm thinking about the WP:V guidelines, and I'm not sure that I could find anything to cite there - I had thought it was something that US News came up with, but you're right that it's not. It's possible that there are enough quotes out there to cite it (I did a quick google for "top 14 law school" and came across an interesting one where Brian Leiter was debunking the "top 14" myth and describing it as having originated in cyberspace!).

But at the same time, I'm not sure that it adds all that much to the paragraph. If it leaves non-lawyers (and probably many lawyers) wondering why a school that was 6th in a ranking would be said to be in the "top 14" (as opposed to, say...top 10 or top 6), then I think it probably takes too much away from the paragraph. I take it that was part of your reaction? In any event, I think it could easily be cut out - I don't think it's all that important to include.--TheOtherBob 18:11, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What's wrong with Camo dudes??

I think "Camo dudes" is a proper name for guards at Area 51. Guards at London's Buckingham Palace are called Beefeaters (yet they don't eat meat on duty), and no one objects. I bet Beefeaters are mentioned in relevant wikipedia articles, so why not Camo dudes?? Jancikotuc 17:28, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Hello; Image:Hills south west of Sanandaj near the village of Kilaneh.jpg is up for delisting on FPC nomination page. [1] Please give us your opinion, or try to solve the problem the majority have with the picture. I think it deserves to stay FP. Thank you. ;-) --Arad 19:53, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
