Ryu (rapper)

Ryu (born Ryan Maginn) is a member of the hip hop ensemble Styles of Beyond. Born in Compton, California in 1975, he is also associated with the Demigodz and Fort Minor. Ryu resides in Compton, California.

- Ryu grew up in the same neighborhood as Linkin Park and Fort Minor frontman Mike Shinoda and has been friends with him for 10 years.
- Ryu met his current bandmate Takbir Bashir (commonly known simply as 'Tak') while attending Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California.
- Ryu actually recorded parts for a version of Linkin Park's track WTH>You from Reanimation. However the track was never used.
- Styles of Beyond has been signed in the past to the Crystal Method's record label Hi-Ho Records.
