He is the only man to disrupt Rich “Ace” Franklin’s perfect MMA fight record. It is true that Ryoto “Lyoto” Machida did have a significant weight advantage on many of the fighters he has defeated, however, Rich “Ace” Franklin is one of the veterans of the dehydration program. It is debated that he is well over 200 lbs when he steps into the octagon, while fighting in the light heavy weight division(185lb).
It is difficult to reference the past, if Ryoto were to ever fight Rich again. We will probably never see this fight, since Rich is not fighting outside the UFC at the time. Ryoto has yet to get a major contract with the “Big Two”: UFC or PRIDE.

There's several problems with the above passage. The first paragraph is basically speculation about Franklin's true body weight at the fight. Since it was totally unsourced and was an opinion that suggested there was not a weight disadvantage without saying anything concrete, it's not verifiable and counter to WP:NPOV and WP:V. The second paragraph is also speculatory and conflicts wth WP:NOT#Wikpedia is not a crystal ball. I suggest it be reconsidered if writing so much about Franklin is warranted in the first place, since it puts too much weight into his fight with Franklin, other than being Franklin's only loss, it's otherwise not that notable of a fight. hateless 19:37, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Contradictory info

""Ryoto is considered a rising star in MMA, having secured victories over former UFC Middleweight Champion Rich Franklin, former UFC Welterweight Champion B.J. Penn, and Light Heavyweight runner-up of the UFC's The Ultimate Fighter Season 1, Stephan Bonnar. It should be noted, however, that Machida had a significant weight advatage in these fights""

If you go to Rich's article, it says there WAS NOT a significant weight advantage. I think the encyclopedia should at least be consistent. Christ...which is it?--Donnie from the mean streets of Boston, KY 21:04, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
