Ryom Verzeichnis

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ryom Verzeichnis (often abbreviated RV) is a partial catalog of the music of Antonio Vivaldi created by Peter Ryom. The catalog is often used to identify Vivaldi's works. (E.g.: RV 95 ; Op. 44 no. 4 ; P. 204 ; F XII, 29 ; M 248 -- D major -- rec, vn, ob, vn, vn, bsn -- La Pastorella (The Young Shepherdess) and RV 98 ; Op. 44 no. 16 -- F major -- fl, ob, vn, bsn -- Tempesta di Mare (Storm of the Sea.)

For the sake of concordance, the Ryom Verzeichnis provides reference to the Fanna numbers (F.), Pincherle numbers (P.), and Ricordi numbers that have been used in the past.
