Ryan Wolfe is a fictional character in the show CSI: Miami and is played by American actor Jonathan Togo.

Ryan Wolfe is the newest and youngest member of the CSI team, hired after Tim Speedle was killed while on the job. He has a strong background in science, majoring in chemistry at a Boston college and now pursuing a master's in genetics. Yet his studies take a back seat to his law enforcement job, where he started out graduating top in his class at the academy then becoming a patrol officer, well on his way to a promotion.

He was first able to catch the attention of Horatio Caine at the scene of a bus crash. There Wolfe showed great attention to detail and to the care of his sidearm, a quality that is caused by his OCD tendencies, but which Horatio held in high regard after poor gun maintenance had led to the misfire at a critical moment that contributed to Tim Speedle's tragic death (episode 301, "Lost Son").

When he first joins the lab, Ryan has a difficult time with his co-workers, aside from Horatio Caine. Eric Delko, who had been close to Speedle, is still angry over his friend's murder, and resents Wolfe as an interloper. Calleigh Duquesne, on the other hand, is concerned because Ryan's first case is a possible vehicular homicide involving her alcoholic father, lawyer "Duke" Duquesne (episode 303, "Under the Influence"). Over time, however, Ryan has proved his worth to the crime lab as being more concerned with the case than his personal advancement, despite his occasionally jumping to conclusions and reckless behavior, such as in the case of the lab mole. After the mole is revealed to be Natalia Boa Vista, with whom he (and Delko) had slept (episode 425, "One of Our Own"), Wolfe, perhaps unsurprisingly, resents her presence on the team, and is overly critical of her behavior in the field (episode 503, "Death Pool 100").

Ryan also gets himself into trouble when he stops a family from getting evicted from their home. When he shoves the officer forcing the evictions, the man files a complaint against him, which could have damaged Wolfe's career. Fortunately, Horatio manages to convince the officer to drop the complaint, but warns Ryan that he might not be able to protect him next time (episode 505, "Death Eminent").

In the episode "Nailed" Wolfe was impaled through his eye with a nail from a nail gun while at a crime scene which led to a number of vision problems, that could spell the end of his career. This does not seem to affect him too much, though, until the episode "One Of Our Own" where, while the lab is being investigated by the FBI, a FBI officer brings up the possibility that Wolfe has keratitis, a condition that causes impaired vision.

However, the investigating officer could only have gotten this information from Dan Cooper, a lab technician, whom Ryan had told this false piece of information to try to flush out the mole in the lab. After the interview Wolfe slams Cooper against the wall and accuses him of being the mole, since the information of his supposed case of keratitis had leaked to the FBI. However, Ryan is wrong and Cooper is not the mole; he simply let the information slip after a couple beers one night. Wolfe was later able to help prove that the lab was not responsible for several thousand dollars in money missing from evidence, and that the last person to handle it had not been from their lab. This led Calleigh to Peter Elliot, of the Treasury Department, who in turn led her to the true culprit in the crusade to besmirch them all, Elliot's fiancee, State Attorney Monica West.

Wolfe once played the Death Pool, where players bet on when famous people will die, and won a substantial amount of money. Unfortunately, his winnings are all in counterfeit 'superbills.' He unknowingly gave one of the fake $100s to Calleigh to pay for an iPod she had bought for his niece. Calleigh, not knowing it was a forgery, brought it to Peter Elliot as a control sample to compare against some money Elliot was examining. Elliot, shocked, informs her that this bill is fake, and she confronts Ryan later. Remorsefully, Wolfe burns all the fraudulent bills on the beach (episode 513, "Death Pool 100").
