Ryan Phillips is the lead guitarist of the St. Louis band Story of the Year who plays rock music. Because of his large nose, Ryan goes by the name "The Nose." This spiky-haired, blond guitarist wrote the hit single "We Don't Care Anymore" for the band's new album, In the Wake of Determination, inspired by a fight with his girlfriend. As stated in the credits in his new CD, he thanks his girlfriend for inspiring him to write. He also wrote 'Anthem of Our Dying Day', a single from their first album Page Avenue. Ryan states that "no one in the band wanted to die; the song was written about ghosts."
