Ryan Greene

Ryan Greene is an American record producer, sound engineer, owner of Crush Recording Studios in Scottsdale, AZ and owner of Altered Vision Mastering.

Ryan Greene started his musical career as a drummer in local L.A. bands and turned into a live engineer at the age of 15. Aged 19 he started at MCA Music publishing Studio being the youngest engineer there. At MCA he worked together with people like Glen Ballard, Diane Warren and Desmond Child.

From 1988 to 1996 Greene worked at EMI music publishing as chief engineer where he did all the pre-production for the Megadeth's "Countdown to Extinction" Album from 1991. Band leader Dave Mustaine considered the album later being Megadeth's best work ever.

In 1994 he worked with Brett Gurewitz owner of Epitaph Records and founding member of the punkrock band Bad Religion on a demo recording for Bad Religion. Brett Gurewitz hooked Ryan Greene up with the punkrock band NOFX and he produced their upcoming record "Punk in Drublic" the same year. The record sold more than a half million worldwide and was certified gold although the band rarely gives any interviews and strictly refuses their music and videos to be played on major radio stations and on television. "Punk in Drublic" is also tradet as the best NOFX album ever among many of their fans and their biggest selling record.

In 1997 Ryan started Motor Studios in San Francisco together with Fat Mike owner of Fat Wreck Chords and frontman/singer/bass player of NOFX. Ryan produced numerous punk and rock bands such as Lagwagon, No Use for a Name, Good Riddance, Pulley, Strung Out, Propaghandi, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, The Dickies and was coining the successful sound of the 90ies skate punk.

In 2001, Ryan began his long time working relationship with Los Angeles rock band Stereo 360, one of the most popular groups to emerge from a ground swell of support from a world wide fan base via the internet.

In 2005 Ryan founded the Crush Recording Studios in Scottsdale Arizona.

Ryan Greene has been a part of hundreds of records as producer/engineer or mixer.
