Ryan Campbell

Ryan John Campbell (born February 7, 1972 in Perth) is a former Australian cricketer. In the domestic competition, he played for the Western Australiain the Sheffield Shield/Pura Cup as a right-handed batsman who played as a wicket keeper.
He was in the Australian Cricket Academy in 1994, but really made his impact felt in 1996, having been brought in as a replacement for Adam Gilchrist in the Warriors team. He has both the records for the fastest century and half-century achieved by an Australian batsman, which he achieved in the same season, 1996/97.
The highlight of his career was a 108 innings off 85 balls in the 1999-2000 Mercantile Mutual Cup final, and his 257 dismissals in first-class cricket has seen him go fourth on the list of dismissals for Western Australia in Pura Cup cricket. Campbell played two one-day internationals for Australia, filling in for Adam Gilchrist as wicket keeper.
He retired from Western Australia at the end of the 2005-06 season
