Ryan Watkins, Ph.D. was born in 1971 and holds his doctorate in instructional systems design from Florida State University. He is the author of 6 books, including Performance by Design: The systematic selection, design, and development of performance technologies (HRD Press, 2006), 75 E-learning Activities: Making online course more interactive (Wiley/JosseyBass, 2005), and the E-learning Companion: A student's guide to online success (HoughtonMifflin, 2004). He is also an author of more than sixty articles and book chapters on Mega planning, performance improvement, e-learning, needs assessment, strategic planning, and distance education. Ryan is currently on the faculty at the George Washington University in Washington DC.
