The Singapore MRT/LRT system map is amazing! I had to rub my eyes to make sure it's not the official LTA version...
One problem though: could you multi-license it under CC by-sa 1.0, so it can be used on Wikitravel also? Jpatokal 03:31, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Encyclopedia
Each article on Wikipedia is supposed to have the potential to grow into a true encyclopedia article. I think you should consider whether each train station in Singapore could have a worthwhile article written about it. What would this article talk about? It's address? How big it is? If you can't really imagine what a good solid paragraph on a subject, chances are it shouldn't be an article. ike9898 11:29, July 23, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Logos are not allowed on templates
I notice you reverted changes to a couple templates to put company logos back on them after they had been changed to use free images. Company logos are not allowed on templates under Wikipedia's current fair use criteria. Criterion number 9 on this official policy states:
- Fair use images may be used only in the article namespace. Used outside article space, they are not covered under the fair use doctrine. They should never be used on templates (including stub templates and navigation boxes) or on user pages.
If you have any questions about this policy, please bring them up on the fair use talk page. Slambo (Speak) 14:55, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
I don't think I have placed company logos back on anywhere on Wikipedia, even on this user page. The Google logo that you see on my user page is actually created by typing the letters and adding the corresponding colour.
Maybe you can specifically tell me where I could have 'infringed' upon Wikipedia's fair use criteria. Thanks. --Russianroulette2004 06:56, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Template:Singapore MRT stations (diff) and Template:Singapore LRT stations (diff). I've updated them back to free images per the policy mentioned above. Slambo (Speak) 12:27, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rolling Stock of Singapore MRT
Hello, thanks for your intrest in the rolling stock of the Singapore MRT. Actually, I feel that it is better to have rolling stock on their seperate pages. For your info, there used to be an article with all rolling stock combined. However, it was removed in favour of separate articles.
Our articles about individual models of trains are more detailed than that of the MTR. The page would become very long if all were to be combined. Splitting up the long article would then result in where we came from. For example, see Transperth Trains. The summary on the rolling stock is already available on the main Mass Rapid Transit article.
I believe the problem now lies with the Alstom Metropolis Cars, as this is the only rolling stock referred to by their name, not by contract number (meaning such cars are used internationally, and not custom-made for Spore). I would rather try to refine the Metropolis Article. Or change the name to sth like Alstom Metropolis Cars, Singapore.
I hope you understand =). Advanced 20:50, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- If I am not wrong, the contract number for the Alstom trains is C751A (not C751B as in the Kawasaki trains). You can check the LTA website (it's somewhere but I cannot find it). --Russianroulette2004 03:15, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
