Rusty Humphries

Ralph "Rusty" Humphries (b. 1966) has been in the radio and music business since the age of 15. The nationally syndicated talk-personality can be heard through The Talk Radio Network and is featured on over 250 radio stations nationwide. The Rusty Humphries Show is featured in such cities as San Francisco, Tampa, Houston, Orlando, Seattle, Oklahoma City, Atlanta, Norfolk and Honolulu. He's also heard on XM.

He's been a contestant on The Wheel of Fortune, a tour guide at Universal Studios in Hollywood and ran for candidate for U.S. Senate. He has done numerous charitable activities such as working with US Troops in Iraq, by sending school children needed school supplies. He's sent US Troops DVDs for their enjoyment. Taking a local cancer cluster of 16 children and their families to Disneyland, he also assisted in bringing The Moving Vietnam Wall to his community. Rusty helped the State of Nevada raise 1.5 million dollars for the WWII Memorial in Washington DC and as been involved in countless other charitable projects.

Born a child of the 1960's, Rusty's father was killed in the Vietnam War. Rusty often mentions in his radio show how the loss of his dad as a young boy affects his life.

He has hosted radio shows in New York City, Dallas, San Diego, Atlanta and Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Humphries has also worked at radio stations in Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Kansas City and Portland, Oregon.

His on air broadcasts have taken him to Iraq, Kuwait, England, Cuba, Mexico, Italy, Israel including Gaza and The West Bank where he held live on the air interviews with terrorsts Hamas members and Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade members.

Humphries' has been named one of America's 100 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts eight years in a row, was nominated as Talk Personality Of The Year by Radio and Records. Humphries was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame as its youngest inductee ever. He was ranked as one of the "ten most listened to" radio talk show hosts by Talkers Magazine.

After his two well-attended "Rusty Humphries' Salute to the American Veterans" concerts that drew a sold out crowd on Veterans Day in 1999 and 2000, Humphries was named "Reno's #1 local entertainer.

Humphries has produced 5 musical CD's including "Bomb Iraq - Rusty Humphries Takes on the Terrorists" the largest selling CD in laugh.com history. [citation needed] His CD "Greeting From America - Wish You Were Here" was a "best of" collection made specifically for the troops in harm's way, it featured songs and well wishes from radio listeners from across the country.

Rusty is currently working on growing his syndicated radio show and considers his passion for children's and veterans issues to be the most important parts of his career.

Humphries is self identified strong family oriented Christian Conservative. He does not believe in homosexual marriage or unions. He strongly opposes Illegal Mexican Immigration in the USA but supports legal immigration and a guarded wall on the U.S. border with Mexico. He strongly opposes abortions as well.

Rusty is a singer/songwriter. In addition to writing many morning radio show jingles, his song, Do The Bart Simpson, made national charts and was the inspiration for The Simpson's Multi-platinum CD[citation needed].
