The Russian School of Mathematics (RSM), is located on 1345 Centre St. Newton, MA. It is designed as an after school program that is intended to provide mathematical education for children attending K-12 of both private and public schools. The school is meant as both a place where children can improve on their studies of mathematics as well as a place where they can advance in their learning beyond the school curriculum. The founder and principal of the school is Inessa Rifkin, along with co-founder, Irene Khavinson. The focus of RSM is primarily mathematics, however art and SAT English classes are also offered. The high school level classes offer preparation for standardized tests such as the SAT, SAT II and AP exams. The school also runs two separate summer math camp programs, an overnight camp in New Hampshire, and a day camp in Newton, MA. A new RSM branch has recently been opened in San Francisco and Louisville, Kentucky.
