Rushes is a Post-production and visual effects company based in London.

The company was formed in 1977 and its staff have spawned many successful spin-offs, including Main Frame and The Foundry.

Rushes famously posted Dire Straits Money for Nothing; the first video ever to be played on MTV Europe and the launch advert for the Ford Puma featuring a composited late Steve McQueen. The company now post-produces adverts, pop promos and feature film effects for world wide audiences.

Rushes was the first in the UK to acquire Rank-Cintel URSA (replaced with a Thomson Spirit) and C-Reality Telecine as well as being the first to adopt a Discreet (now Autodesk) Flame SGI based compositing suite.

In 2006, Rushes became a fully HD capable facility from Telecine through Visual Effects and 3D.

Each summer, Rushes hosts the Soho Shorts Film Festival. The Rushes Soho Shorts Festival is a cool, creative and relaxed annual event where the work of both established filmmakers and newcomers is viewed and judged on a completely level platform.
