[edit] Plot

LAPD Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) and Hong Kong Police Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) reunite after the Chinese Ambassador is shot during a major address before the World Criminal Court Summit in Los Angeles. It looks like the world's foremost criminal syndicate -- the Chinese Triads -- may be behind the crime, and the assassin's trail leads to Paris, France.[citation needed]

[edit] Trivia

  • Variety had reported in May 2005 that the film was going ahead on a budget of around US$100 million as soon as Chris Tucker signed a two-picture, $40 million contract with New Line Cinema for Rush Hour 3 and an unrelated film. However, Jackie Chan then said in July that Rush Hour 3 was not moving forward because his co-star of the first two films, Chris Tucker, was making too many demands for more power such as final cut approval, the final look at the movie, an increased salary, etc. Chan called Tucker a "good friend" but questioned whether he had the stature to be so demanding. "He's still a new actor," said Chan. "How many movies has he made? Two movies have already made him very famous and made him a lot of money." "He needs to learn slowly," he added. [1]. However, New Line and Tucker came to an agreement, and the making of RH3 began.
  • The first trailer for this movie will hit theatres on December 22 where it will be shown with Night at the Museum.
