Rush is Mega Man's robotic dog. Created by Dr. Light and Dr. Wily (in a temporary truce) to be an all around support unit, Rush has the ability to transform into at least two different forms, Rush Marine and Rush Jet. Rush also has the Rush Coil, which is a spring that pops out of his back and helps Mega Man reach higher platforms that he normally couldn't. In Mega Man 6 and 7, he can attach himself to Mega Man and make a Jet Adapter and a Power Adapter, which shoots a very strong Mega Buster blast. In Mega Man 8 Rush can shoot a spread shot in his Rush Jet form, and can also transform into a motorcycle, can carpet-bomb an area, and toss out healing items for Mega Man to grab.

[edit] Trivia

  • In the Mega Man animated series, Rush can be considered the comic relief for the show, and is usually portrayed as fiercely loyal and helpful to Mega Man, as well as a silly, bumbling dog that ends up causing as much trouble as Wily's robots. Most of his dialogue is regular dog woofs and barks, but it's also interspersed with words repeated, almost like a stutter (when excited about seeing Mega Man, he'll usually bark and yell "Mega Mega Mega!" in a rapid-fire fashion). When doing something considered humorous to the show, the ambient background music usually changes to a lone saxophone playing a jazzy, almost improvised bar of music.
