Rune Skarstein

Rune Skarstein is a Norwegian radical economist presently employed at NTNU in Trondheim, Norway. Skarstein was born on April 7 1940 in Olden in Nordfjord in western Norway. He graduated as a chartered engineer at NTH, presently NTNU, with emphasis on construction and building. He continueed his education and obtained a PhD in social economy in 1974.
He has worked at CMI in Bergen, later in Tanzania and since 1980 at University of Trondheim, UNIT and NTNU.

- Member of the political party Sosialistisk Venstreparti and has inaugurated twice as a member of Trondheim City Council.
