Rune Holta (born August 29, 1973) one of the top speedway riders in the world. Holta is born in Stavanger, Norway, and grew up in Randaberg.

- Norwegian individual champion in 1994, 1996, 1997 and 2000.
- Polish individual champion in 2003
- Golden Helmet-champion in 2000.
- World Champion with polish national team in 2005.
- Danish Super league champion with Outrup in 1999 and 2001.
- Polish Extra League champion with Czestochowa in 2003.
- Swedish Elitserien champion (SM-GULD) with Valsarna in 1998, 1999 and VMS Elit in 2004 & 2006

Holta has participated in four seasons in The Speedway Grand Prix, and begin his fifth in 2007.
- First Grand Prix season: 2001
- Grand Prix finals: Sydney 4th.place (2002), Praha 4th.place (2003) and Bydgoszcz 4th. place (2004).
- Best result: 4th place.
- Best season: No. 8 in 2003 Speedway Grand Prix
In 2007, Holta will be competing in the Grand Prix series for Poland, rather than for his native Norway.
