The Runaway Boys was the band that The Living End guitarist, Chris Cheney, and bassist, Scott Owen, formed in the early 1990s. The band played covers of 50's rock, and Rockabilly bands, such as the Stray Cats. The name of the band, came from the Stray Cats song "Runaway Boys". The two were obsessed with the Stray Cats at the time. It later evolved into The Living End in 1994 after the original drummer Joe Piripitzi joined Cheney and Owen.

There is also an awesome band in the U.S. called The Runaway Boys. They've been a band since 2000, also evolving out of love of the Stray Cats. They've continued to use the name, and are currently working on a second album. - Their Website - Their Myspace -
